Alan Anthony Silvestri (d. 26 Mart 1950) Amerikalı film-dizi müziği bestecisi ve orkestra şefidir. Çalıştığı projeler arasında Geleceğe Dönüş film serisi, Forrest Gump, Yenilmezler serisi de dahil olmak üzere birkaç Marvel Sinematik Evreni filmi ve Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey televizyon dizisi bulunmaktadır. İki Akademi Ödülü ve Altın Küre Ödülü adaylığı, üç Satürn Ödülü ve iki Primetime Emmy Ödülü sahibidir.

Hayatın erken dönemi ve eğitim
Silvestri'nin büyükanne ve büyükbabası 1909'da İtalyan kasabası Castell'Alfero'dan göç etti ve New Jersey, Teaneck'e yerleştiler. Teaneck'te büyüdü ve Teaneck Lisesi'nden 1968 yılında mezun oldu. İki yıl boyunca Berklee College of Music'e gitti. Silvestri 1966 yılında, rock grubu The Herd'de kısa bir süreliğine davulculuk yaptı.
Kariyer
Silvestri, 1972'de 21 yaşındayken düşük bütçeli aksiyon filmi The Doberman Gang'in müziklerini besteleyerek film ve televizyon besteciliği kariyerine başladı.
Silvestri 1977'den 1983'e kadar CHiPs isimli televizyon dizisinin ana bestecisi olarak görev yaptı ve dizinin 139 bölümünden 95 tanesine müzik yazdı.
Silvestri, film yönetmeni Robert Zemeckis ile Romancing the Stone (1984) adlı filmde tanıştı. Silvestri, 1989'da James Cameron'ın yönettiği The Abyss filminin müziklerini de besteledi. Silvestri, 2001'den beri yönetmen Stephen Sommers ile düzenli olarak çalışma yaparak The Mummy Returns (2001), Van Helsing (2004) ve GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) filmlerinde de görev aldı.
