Cornelius Nepos, M.Ö. 110-25 yılları arasında yaşamış biyografi yazarıdır. Günümüze tam olarak ulaşan eseri yoktur, sadece diğer yazarlar tarafından alıntılanan parçaları bilinmektedir. Özellikle Cato’nun hayatını yazdığı biyografisi önemlidir. İmparator Augustus döneminde yaşayan Nepos; Cicero, ve Catullus’un çağdaşıdır. Hayatı hakkında başka bilgi bulunmamaktadır. Günümüze tamamı ulaşan eseri yoktur.Plinius, Naturalis Historia’da Nepos’un kısa bir biyografisini verir ve zaman zaman Nepos’un bitki isimlendirmelerinden faydalanır.
