Joseph Achille Le Bel (21 Ocak 1847, Pechelbronn - 6 Ağustos 1930, Paris, Fransa ) Fransız kimyagerdi . Kendisi en çok stereokimya alanındaki çalışmalarıyla tanınır. Le Bel, Paris'teki École Polytechnique'de eğitim gördü. 1874'te moleküler yapı ile optik aktivite arasındaki ilişkiyi özetleyen teorisini duyurdu. Bu keşif, moleküllerdeki atomların uzaysal düzenlenişiyle ilgilenen stereokimya biliminin temelini attı. Bu hipotez aynı yıl Hollandalı fiziksel kimyager Jacobus Henricus van 't Hoff tarafından ileri sürüldü ve şu anda Le Bel-van't Hoff kuralı olarak biliniyor. Le Bel, 1929'da Cosmologie Rationelle'yi (Rasyonel Kozmoloji) yazdı.
