Norman Geras (25 Ağustos 1943 - 18 Ekim 2013) politik kuramcı ve Manchester Üniversitesi Siyaset Bilimi emekli profesörü. Marx ve İnsan Doğası isimli kitabıyla Karl Marx'ın eserlerinin analizine katkıda bulundu ve "Marx ve Adalet Hakkında Tartışma" isimli makalesini yazdı. En parlak eserlerinden biri 1990 yılında Socialist Register da yayınlanan 'Marksizm Hakkında İftiranın Yedi Çeşidi' ydi.
Geras Yahudi bir ailenin çocuğu olarak Zimbabve,Bulawayo'da doğdu. 1962'de İngiltere'ye geldikten sonraOxford Üniversitesi Pembroke'da felsefe, Siyaset ve Ekonomi okudu ve 1965'te mezun oldu. 1967'de öğretim üyesi olarak başladığı ve 2003'te emekli olduğu Manchester Üniversitesi'ne katılmadan önce 1965'ten 1967'ye kadar Oxford Üniversitesi Nuffield'da araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı.
