Gabriela Soto Laveaga, Meksika tarihi ve bilim tarihi konusunda uzmanlaşmış Latin Amerikalı tarihçidir. Halen Harvard Üniversitesi'nde Bilim Tarihi profesörüdür. 2010 yılında “Jungle Laboratories” tarafından verilen Robert K. Merton En İyi Kitap ödülünü ve 2007 yılında “Uncommon Trajectories” tarafından verilen Sağlık, Bilim ve Toplum Bölümü En İyi Makale Ödülü'nü aldı.

Geçmiş
Lisansını (1994) ve yüksek lisans (1998) ve doktora (2001) derecelerini Kaliforniya Eyalet Üniversitesi, San Diego'dan 'ın danışmanı olarak aldı. 2016'da Harvard'daki fakülteye katılmadan önce, daha önce Michigan Eyalet Üniversitesi ve 'da tarih dersleri verdi. 2019'dan 2020'ye kadar Princeton, New Jersey'deki Gelişmiş Çalışma Enstitüsü üyesiydi.
