Leigh Douglass Brackett (d. 7 Aralık 1915 - ö. 18 Mart 1978) genellikle bilimkurgu türünde yazdığı eserleriyle tanınan Amerikan yazardır. Ayrıca senaristlik de yapan Brackett'ın en bilinen işleri (1945), Rio Bravo (1959), The Long Goodbye (1973) ve Yıldız Savaşları: Bölüm V - İmparator (1980) adlı filmlerdir. Brackett'ın ilk bilimkurgu hikâyesi 1940 yılının Şubat ayında Astounding Science Fiction dergisinin bir sayısında yayımlandı. İlk romanı No Good from a Corpse ise 1944 yılında yayımlandı.
