Lords 7 Mayıs 1968'de Steubenville, Ohio'da Ukrayna Yahudisi asıllı İrlandalı ve Rus kökenli bir ailenin kızı olarak doğdu. Lords tanınmadan önce 1984'ten itibaren gençlik döneminde pornografik tarzda oynadığı filmlerle dikkat çekmiştir. 1990'lı yılların en çok iş yapan oyuncularından birisiydi. Genelde "B-Filmleri" denilen düşük bütçeli aksiyon, romantik ve dram tarzında televizyon filmlerinde rol almıştır.
