Hayatı

MacRae, 22 Şubat 1936'da Columbia, Güney Karolina'da doğdu. Kaliforniya Sanat Enstitüsü ile Otis Sanat ve Tasarım Koleji'nde öğrenim gördü. 1957'de başladığı oyunculuk kariyerini 2011 yılına kadar sürdürdü.

En çok; 1964-1969 yılları arasında Lou-Ann Poovie rolünde olduğu Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. adlı TV komedi dizisiyle akıllarda kaldı.
