Yaşamı ve kariyeri

Kariyeri boyunca ağırlıklı radyo yapımlarına ağırlık veren Thorne, 2000'den fazla BBC Radyosu yayınında yer aldı. Sinema ve televizyondada birçok yapımda rol alan Thorne özellikle kült olmuş bilimkurgu dizisi "Doctor Who" 'da canlandırdığı kötü karakterler; Omega, Azal ve Eldrad ile dikkat çekti. Diğer yer aldığı bazı yapımlar arasında; "Z-Cars", "Crossroads" ve "Summer of Summer Wine" vb. sayılabilir. Çocuk hikâyeleri ağırlıkta olmak üzere 300'den fazla kitaplardan aktarılan yapımlarda seslendirme yaptı. Londra'da 2 Mart 1935'te doğan Thorne, Kraliyet Oyunculuk ve Sanat Akademisi'nde (RADA)'da eğitim görüp ayrıca çalışmalar yapmıştır.

Ölümü

İngiliz oyuncu Stephen Thorne 26 Mayıs 2019'da Londra'da 84 yaşında ölmüştür.
