Michael Everett Porter, (d. 23 Mayıs 1947), Amerikalı akademisyen ve ekonomist.
Harvard Üniversitesi İşletme Bölümü'nde (Harvard Business School) profesörüdür. Aynı zamanda () başkanıdır. Stratejik yönetim alanında dünyanın önde gelen bilim adamlarından biridir. Akademik çalışmaları, şirketlerin veya bölgelerin nasıl rekabetçilik avantajları oluşturabileceği üzerine yoğunlaşmıştır.
Porter, özellikle şu çalışmaları ile ünlüdür: ""nin açıklanması (segmanlara ayırma, maliyet öncülüğü ve farklı konuşlanma stratejileri), bir şirketin üretim süreçlerini blok bir ok şeklinde betimleyen "Değer Zinciri" (Value Chain) ve "Beş Kuvvet Analizi") kullanarak bir endüstrinin veya pazarın çekicilik ve rekabet analizinin yapılması. iş stratejisi geliştirmede etkilidir.
