Barbara McClintock (d. 16 Haziran 1902 - ö. 2 Eylül 1992), 1983 yılı Nobel Fizyoloji veya Tıp Ödülü sahibi Amerikalı bilim insanı. Dünyanın en önemli sitogenetikçilerinden kabul edilir.

Barbara McClintock eğitimine 1919 senesinde Cornell Üniversitesinde başlamıştır. Orada, öğrenci yönetimine katılmıştır ve bir kız birliğine davet edilmiştir. Ancak kısa bir süre sonra resmi organizasyonlara katılmamayı tercih ettiğini fark etmiştir. McClintock bunun yerine müziğe, özellikle Jazz'a yönelmiştir. 1923 senesinde botanik eğitimi almıştır.
